Privacy Policy

This policy explains what the Vorgue app and the vorgue.app website (“Vorgue”, “we”) collect, why we collect it, and the choices you have. If anything is unclear, email us at the address at the end.

What we collect

Invite list (website)

• If you ask for an invite on our website, we store your email address, the platform you picked (iPhone, Android or either) and the date. We use it only to send your invite and launch news, and we delete it on request.

Account

• Your email address and name, and the sign-in method you use: email and password, Google or Facebook.

Training profile

• Age, height, body weight and gender.
• Training days per week, goal, experience level and preferred weight unit.
• One-rep maxes you enter for squat, bench press, deadlift and overhead press.
• The equipment you have access to.
• Injuries or limitations you choose to tell us about. This is health-related information and is only used to plan your training.

Training data

• Programs, workouts, exercises, sets, reps, weights, rest and cardio sessions you log.
• How hard each set and session felt, and any notes you add.
• Pre-session check-ins about sleep, energy and soreness.
• Body composition entries such as weight, body fat and muscle mass.
• Custom exercises you create.

Coach conversations

• Messages you send to the AI coach and the coach’s replies, including check-in messages the coach sends you.

Device and diagnostics

• A push notification token, so we can send coach check-ins and reminders.
• The app version and technical diagnostics such as errors, crashes and performance data, so we can fix problems.

If you turn on biometric unlock, Face ID or fingerprint checks happen on your device. We never receive biometric data.

How we use it

• To run your account and sync your data between devices.
• To build and adjust your program, suggest weights for each set, and show your progress, charts and muscle map.
• To power the AI coach: answering your messages, writing workout and weekly summaries, and deciding whether a check-in is worth sending you.
• To send push notifications you have allowed.
• To keep the service secure and working.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use it for advertising.

The AI coach

When you use the coach, the relevant parts of your profile and training history (for example your 1RMs, active program, recent sessions and weekly volume) are sent with your message to our AI provider so it can write a reply. Summaries and check-ins work the same way. The coach’s output can be wrong. Treat it as guidance, not medical advice.

Who processes your data

We use these service providers to run Vorgue. They process data on our behalf and only for these purposes:

• Google Firebase: sign-in and push notifications.
• Google and Meta (Facebook): only if you choose to sign in with them.
• OpenAI: generating AI coach replies, summaries and check-ins.
• Datadog: error and performance monitoring.
• Our hosting provider: running the Vorgue servers and database.

We may also disclose data if the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app under Profile → Privacy & Security → Delete account. This removes your account and the training data linked to it. Copies in backups and logs are removed on their normal schedule.

Your choices and rights

• Turn push notifications off in the app or in your device settings.
• Edit or remove profile details in the app.
• Ask us for a copy of your data, or to correct or delete it, by emailing us.
• Leave the invite list at any time by replying to any of our emails or emailing us.

Depending on where you live, you may have more rights under laws such as the GDPR. We will respond to requests within the time those laws require.

Children

Vorgue is not meant for children. You must be at least 16 years old, or the age of digital consent where you live if that is higher.

Security

Data is encrypted in transit. Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run the service.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app when the change is significant.
